Family Therapy

Growing a healthy family is one of the most important tasks we can undertake as human beings. It can also be one of the most stressful. Whether you are just starting a family or wishing to resolve chronic tensions that have developed over years and years, therapy can help. It is inevitable that your family and all others will experience hardships; the manner in which we address and cope with the hardships is key to a healthy, happy family.

There are many benefits to participating in family therapy. It can help the family system establish secure attachments; adjust to changes related to loss, separation, adoption, marriage, remarriage, separation, divorce, relocation, financial or employment stresses; develop better coping and problem-solving skills; address difficulties with step and co-parenting or creating a blended family; create a sense of “togetherness” within the family; and develop a better understanding of disruptive family patterns.

In family therapy, I will work towards providing a safe and nurturing environment for all members of the family. I will provide education about family dynamics and support you in determining how to make the dynamic within your family the best it can be.
